Who This Is ForCommon Starting Points
- Navigating a sexual compatibility mismatch in a relationship
- Trying to understand a recurring sex-related pattern in yourself or a relationship
- Wanting a direct, non-judgmental conversation about sexuality that most coaches or friends won't have
How Coaching HelpsWhat the Work Looks Like
This work is grounded in Dr. Kassel's forensic-level training in sexual behavior and pattern-recognition, repurposed as a foundation for coaching-level conversations — not clinical sex therapy, and not a diagnostic service.
This is not sex-offender treatment, and this practice does not serve court-mandated populations.
Specialized TrainingBackground
Dr. Kassel trained directly under some of the field's most recognized names in risk assessment and behavioral pattern-recognition, including a year-long fellowship with the Wisconsin Sexual Offender Treatment Network, and direct training under:
- J. Reid Meloy, PhD, ABPP — violence risk assessment
- Roy Hazelwood, MS — retired FBI, behavioral profiling
- William Marshall, MA — treatment methodology and victim empathy work
- John Hunter, PhD — adolescent behavioral patterns
This training underlies his ability to read high-risk relationship and behavioral dynamics accurately — the same pattern-recognition skill set, repurposed for coaching rather than forensic assessment.
